At Freixenet, vine-growing is the first stone of the path to producing excellent cava. The vineyard is the heritage of our region, it shapes the landscape and guarantees the future.

The vegetative cycle

Dormancy and pruning, bud break, flowering, fruit and harvest. We spend 365 days a year caring for our vineyards, to obtain the best possible grape in each harvest.

Our ancient wineries

Our historic cellars, which are more than 20 metres deep, are the work of Catalan modernist architects Joan Ros i Ros and Juan Torras Guardiola. Today the modern cellars cover a space of 160,000 m2 and hold more than 120 million bottles.
