The International Effervescents du Monde Competition awards the gold medal to Elyssia Gran Cuvée and gives it top ranking Cava status
Freixenet Prosecco is also awarded a silver medal in this prestigious French competition
Elyssia Gran Cuvée by Freixenet has collected the gold medal in Effervescents du Monde, the world’s most important sparkling wine competition, placing it among the 10 best sparkling wines in the world and giving it the highest Cava ranking. In addition, Freixenet Prosecco has been awarded a silver medal. Freixenet sparkling wines are given excellent marks in the 17th. year of this prestigious competition, in which more than 100 judges tasted 564 samples from 22 different countries.
Elyssia Gran Cuvée is a modern, rich textured Brut, designed for Chardonnay lovers, which delivers pleasant aromas of acacia flowers and honey over an elegant base of ripe fruit. For its part, Freixenet Prosecco made from the best Glera grapes grown in the Italian Veneto region is a fruity fresh and seductive sparkler, and part of the company’s drive to attract younger drinkers to the fascinating world of sparkling wines.
Organised by Forum Oenologie, and held in Dijon, France, Effervescences du Monde is an annual event known for its rigorous disciplines, professionalism and tasting quality. This year 23 gold and 165 silver medals were awarded.
The company is proud to receive these awards, which brings recognition from some of the best known experts in the sector, at an international level. This important recognition goes hand in hand with other awards which Freixenet has received recently, notably the gold medals awarded in the International Berliner Wine and Mundus Vini competitions.
